Why do we celebrate Christmas? To celebrate Christ? NO WAY! Maybe some of my friends do, but I think of Santa for one simple reason: it's fun! :) We have parties, we talk, we sing, we play, we get together with the people we want to be with, we get presents(even the parents), and we are happy. I once brought one of my Chinese friends to celebrate Holi. He had a blast (literally; He looked like a rainbow). He (and I, for that matter) didn't care that Holi was a religious festival about Gods and heroes. It was the things we did that brought happiness to him. Whether you like it or not, Christmas brings happiness to me.

Yes, it is Christ's B-day, but us getting presents has nothing to do with it. Christmas, as I said, is a time of happiness and giving. If everyone gives to everyone, everyone receives something too. And THAT makes us happier, which then encourages christmas spirit.
